Hello! I'm Will – a professional photographer who specialises in creating stills and video content for the food, drink and hospitality industries. My work is vibrant and playful, featuring food, drink, with a strong focus on consumer response and engagement in an increasingly visual, online world.
I’ve been a keen photographer since a very young age, and grew up with a love of food – and cooking (thanks, Mum!) – while working in restaurants during my teens. For the last ten years, these interests have aligned in a dream job: travelling around the UK & abroad working with esteemed chefs, hotels, restaurants and f&b brands.
Often described as fun and easygoing, I pride myself on the lighthearted energy I bring to shoots. Outside of the job, I enjoy cooking (have I mentioned that?), music, and time in the outdoors climbing, running and hiking.
what i'm up to this month
August, like much of summer, comes and goes in a flash. It's often the month that sees festive work begin, with some keen enough to soundtrack the shoots with a bit of Wham! – it's always a bit early for me...
I'm working on an ongoing video series with Simon Rogan in the quaint village of Cartmel in the Lake District, I'll be shooting Christmas campaign work for The Langham in London, and I'm back in the saddle with Goodfellows, whose stunning tableware collections I've photographed for some years now.
It's the season for long days in the mountains, with early starts and late finishes, so I'll be enjoying a few of those in between shoots. And in July, for my birthday, Molly bought me a pizza oven. Folks, get one! They're ace, and not just for pizza. Fish, steak, veggies, you name it – all kissed with the charred aroma of a Greek taverna with an open grill.
And this month's soundtrack? Betty Davis, They Say I'm Different (1974) – effortlessly cool as ever, for those warm evenings in the sun...
